“From a very young age my parents took me swimming regularly a couple of days a week, and I remember that there were about 30 children like me, all together and screaming and gathered in the pool at same time at swimming lessons… what a real version of a proper Ironman Kick off that was!! ̈
Then I started playing football, the quintessential sport in Argentina and that usual dream of every child to become a great famous footballer but this was not clear to me though. Doing sports was never a great effort to me, on the contrary I loved it very much and I used to borrow my father’s bike to go to school, and run errands wherever I went. I wouldn’t stop, every day when school was over, I spent the afternoon playing football, running and biking with my friends. Owning a bike in those times was like having a treasure.

Then my sport phase changed when I started playing rugby when I was 12 years old. I really found my place in it.
In two months I turned from being the new, to become a first team player.
With 18 years old and after many broken bones I was playing in a local team.
When I turned 19 I joined the Provincial League and I became captain of the Forwards.
“Rugby was my great love, my great basis sport, and it influenced me from that very moment on, as work, discipline, and fellowship can shape our personality. I was very happy those days….”
